CoastOne Electric Tapping Machines

The MultiTapper and TapOne Electric Tapping Machines are Automec’s latest solution to our customers’ high volume tapping needs.

These machines combine thread tapping, drilling, and countersinking in one machine. The MultiTapper machines can create threads on the inside surface of a hole, as well as cut a conical hole into thick metal to allow space for a screw or bolt head. Their rigid die anvil with combination tapping and counter sink machining ensures high quality and accuracy of the threads and holes.

The MultiTapper and TapOne offer high speed and guaranteed accuracy, with features and capabilities not available in any other product on the market.

MultiTapper Thread Tapping and Countersinking Machine

MultiTapper MT1212

The MultiTapper can be made with a 4ft. x 4ft. (1250 X 1250mm) table or a 4ft. x 6 ½ ft. (1250 X 2000mm) table. It is equipped with 3 heads and an optional fourth head. Each head can be configured for either drilling, tapping or countersinking, depending on the customer’s needs.

The MultiTapper is a bridge type machine that utilizes a rigid die anvil to assist with drilling or countersinking applications. The work piece is manipulated by the two pneumatic fingers that move it back and forth so that the penetration points are always over the rigid die anvil.

TapOne T1212 Electric Tapping Machine

TapOne T1212

The TapOne is especially suited for small parts or micro-jointed parts. This machine can be made with a 4ft.x 4ft. (1250 X 1250mm) table or a 4ft. x 6 ½ ft. (1250 x 2000mm) table. The machines are equipped with 3 tapping heads that allow for tapping up to 3/8” (M10).

The TapOne is a bridge type machine in which 3 tapping heads are moving on a 3-axis bridge. The part stays fixed on the table and is held down by pneumatic clamps.

Customers can also use a jig to allow for larger quantities of smaller parts to be run on the machine. The table utilizes brushes to help protect the workpiece.
