Automec C-Series: 25-50 Ton Electric Press Brakes CoastOne Electric Press Brakes

C-Series: 25-50 Ton, Electric Press Brake 2.8 Ft. – 5.25 Ft. Bed

The C series are the smallest “fully electric” servo-driven press brakes found in the CoastOne electric press brake line. The C-Series machines feature 1 to 2 ball screws using a “direct drive System” to administer the force. Each ball screw is capable of producing about 25 tons of force. By using these ball screws in a “direct drive system,” it makes our electric press brakes very affordable compared to traditional small hydraulic press brakes. They’re great for companies looking to free up capacity on their larger press brakes by having a small press brake in the shop as well. For average daily use, the C9 machine typically consumes less than 1.5 kW. By eliminating the need for hydraulic oil, the customer benefits by eliminating the cost of expensive oil changes, spare parts, valves, and maintenance found with traditional hydraulic press brakes.

Cone C9 Small Electric Press Brake

C9 Electric Press Brake (25 Ton, 2.85ft. Bed)

The C9 electric press brake features a single ball screw, which makes it a very affordable investment, but is still capable of bending a vast majority of smaller parts. Its small size allows the operator to sit while working, which ensures a high level of ergonomics. The C9 is a 25ton electric press brake and has a 2.85ft. bed length.

CoastOne’s signature servo driven ball screws make the small press brake accurate but also very environmentally friendly – in average use, the C9 electric press brake consumes less than 1,5 kW. The lack of hydraulic oil eliminates expensive oil changes, spare parts, valves and maintenance expenses common to hydraulic press brakes.

C9 is a 25 Ton electric press brake and has a 2.85 Ft. bed length.

C9X Electric Press Brake (25 Ton, 2.85 ft. bed)

The C9’s taller brother provides a larger daylight (opening from tool holder to bottom die holder), compared that of the standard C9 small press brake. It allows more versatile bending capabilities and tooling options. Besides the added height the C9X is similar to the C9. It allows the operator to sit while working, ensuring a high level of ergonomics.

C12 Small Electric Press Brake

C12 Electric Press Brake (50 Ton, 4.25 ft. Bed)

The C12 is the big brother of the C9. It provides an extra punch (50 ton force) if you need more force than the 25 tons found with the C9. With 2 ball screws and servos instead of 1, the C12 doubles the capable bending strength. Also it has a longer bed length (4.25 ft.) which allows bending of wider parts.

C15 Small Electric Press Brake

C15 Electric Press Brake (50 Ton, 5.25 ft. Bed)

The C15 is the biggest machine of the C-Series. The C15 features 2 servo driven ball screws, with 50 tons capable force. Its bed length (5.25ft.) allows you to bend a large variety of parts, while still maintaining low operating costs. The C15 is a versatile machine and a practical alternative for a larger press brake.

The tallest C-Series machine, the C15X, provides a bigger daylight (opening from tool holder to bottom die holder), compared to the standard machine. It allows more versatile bending capabilities and tooling options. Besides the additional height the C15X is similar to the standard C15. It features 2 ball screws and a bed length of 5.25ft.

CoastOne Electric Press Brakes Traditional Hydraulic Press Brakes
Motor Direct-drive system with servo-electric motors and ball screw(s) Hydraulic motor, pump and fluids
Efficiency The Average power consumption of CoastOne electric press brakes is 1-3 kW. It consumes less electricity, conserves energy -only use energy when in motion. Est. 20 to 30 percent more energy efficient Traditional hydraulic press brakes run hydraulic pumps and heating fluids all day. These are less efficient and expensive to run and maintain.
Accuracy CoastOne Offers an extreme accuracy of 0.000079 inches! Also known as 1 micron! Accuracy and repeatability can only reach up to 0.0004"
Speed CoastOne electric press brakes have a faster output with a direct positioning system. Machines determine position using rotary encoders on servo motors. No hydraulic fluids. Therefore, no extra time to “decelerate” hydraulic ram to position Fast approach speed, but slower ram accelerations and "decelerations" due to use of hydraulic fluid
Noise pollution Electric press brakes are silent when not in motion. While in motion, the only sound heard is the servo-motor(s) spinning ball screw(s) Hydraulic press brakes are constantly running hydraulic pumps while the machine is on.
Green Much lower energy consumption. Fully- electric press brake means there is no oil. CoastOne press brake runs off only 24V when not in motion. Hydraulic press brakes use more energy than fully- electric press brakes due to the hydraulic pumps constantly running when the machines are turned on. Excess oil from hydraulic systems needs disposal. Oil needs to be added/changed
Safety Ergonomics have been incorporated into the design process to keep your operators safe and comfortable to help maximize their productivity. CoastOne press brakes all come standard with a fully-integrated LazerSafe system to protect the operator. Ram will not “drift” with a direct-drive press brake and ram safety spring. Hydraulic press brakes can act differently, depending on the time of day/temperature of the oil. It is very important to make sure the machine comes with safety systems. Ram must always be "blocked" when not in use, due to the possibility of ram "drift."
Save Money CoastOne electric press brakes consume less energy. The lack of hydraulic oil eliminates expensive oil changes, spare parts, valves and maintenance expenses common to hydraulic press brakes. Hydraulic press brakes need oil and filter changes and inspections. They can have seal and line leaks, require oil disposal and have more frequent machine shut-downs. Also, due to oil viscosity fluctuations, you are more likely to create more scrap on hydraulic press brakes than on a direct-drive press brake such as CoastOne machines. The angle you get at the start of the day will be the same angle when you shut the machine down for the night.
